The QL Annual Gathering in Meisenheim, Germany proved to be a great succes. Chef Markus Pape of Meisenheimer Hof prepared a delightful lunch on the slopes of the Disibodenberg, one of the vineyards of Weingut Klostermühle. The guests attended the mini seminar that took place in the historical Boos von Waldeckshe Hof followed by drinks in the former cinema of Meisenheim. In the beautiful municipal house the attendees enjoyed a 7-course dinner prepared by class chefs Dennis van de Beld (Het Roode Koper, The Netherlands) and Gerhard Müller (De Zon, The Netherlands) together with German chef Rainer Schorer and Markus Pape of Meisenheimer Hof. During the formal dinner QL’s Hein van Beek awarded the QL Robbe & Berking Siver Butter Knife 2015 to chefs who strive for excellent cooking with seasonal and regional products. Together with the original QL Silver Butter Knife the winners also received a miniBigg Green Egg.
