A dutch experience in 'whisper' boats

Auberge De Campveerse Toren is a city inn from the year 1400. Willem of Orange and Charlotte de Bourbon held their wedding banquet here in 1575. The tower is located in the old fortified town of Veere and offers a unique view over Lake Veere. Those fond of art and antiques will definitely like what they find here. The individually designed rooms contain a mixture of modern design and antiques.

The menu offers plenty of attractive seafood dishes with fish and shellfish, and naturally, the renowned Oosterschelde lobster is on the menu during the season (from 1 April to 15 July). Veere is a beautiful historic town, and the hotel is located right on the marina. The water beckons with a wide range of water sport options – why not hire a boat with a silent electric motor and cruise the Veerse Meer?

And there’s plenty more to see in the Walcheren region. Middelburg also as historic and romantic city. You can visit the widely acclaimed Zeeuws Museum, or explore Walcheren in miniature at the Mini Mundi theme park. And you can enjoy the cleanest and most beautiful beaches in the Netherlands.

In the hotel you can sign up for a walk through Veere with a city guide. In the vicinity of the hotel is an equestrian and hiking trails are located. A boat is for rent and in front of the hotel is a boat for a cruise on Lake Veere. The lake is suitable for swimming.

The hotel is situated on the banks of Lake Veere and its marina. Veere is a beautifully preserved old town, but is not the only attraction the Walcheren peninsula has to offer. The historic and romantic town of Middelburg is definitely worth a visit. A trip to the Oosterschelde dam and its work station Neeltje Jans is highly recommended. Walcheren also has many sea-side resorts with beautiful beaches.
