Your hosts at Hotel Langgenhof are the Mutschlechner family. Peter Mutschlechner continues the tradition handed down by his parents – it was his mother Greti and father Robert who once transformed their family farm into a place to welcome guests and serve good food. For 30 years, Greti put her heart and soul into cooking delicious traditional and regional dishes. Meanwhile, Robert stocked the wine cellar with local gems. Hotel Langgenhof is now a paradise for wine lovers: Peter’s wine list features more than 500 wines.
Every brick and Swiss pine plank in the hotel has a connection with Peter’s family in one way or another. The newest part of the hotel, which includes the panoramic wellness area and swimming pool, as well as the complete renovation of the main building, was designed by Peter's cousin Martin Mutschlechner, his partner Marco Bucci and Peter's sister Verena.
For musical atmosphere, Peter’s eye-catching record player and LP collection takes pride of place beside the traditional tiled stove.
Restaurant
Chef Georg Egger's kitchen produces the region’s most delicious classics with natural Italian flair. Try the fantastic spaghetti carbonara and ask Peter and his team to spoil you with the finest regional and international wines.
The new farm of the Mutschlechner family is located just outside the town. Here the borders are filled with fragrant Alpine herbs, which Peter’s mother Greti uses to make excellent herbal tea. Father Robert provides the best organic vegetables and fruit for the hotel.
Setting
A stay at Hotel Langgenhof never feels long enough, and whatever the time of year, there’s always plenty to do. This is a wonderful area for skiing, hiking or cycling.
In winter, host Peter Mutschlechner will take you off into the snow for a skiing day trip. Peter’s ‘Gourmet Sella Ronda’ leads you on a tour of his favourite restaurants and mountain lodges, all just off the beaten track.
And in summer, Peter will take you out before dawn to enjoy the spectacle of a sunrise in the Dolomites, accompanied by homemade brioche and fresh coffee! Visit the Reinbach waterfalls in the Puster Valley, sample the creamy local milk and tasty cheeses for which the area is famous, or take a trip to one of the stunning Alpine lakes such as Lago di Braies, Lago di Anterselva or Lago di Dobbiaco. For culture, head for Schloss Bruneck and the Messner Mountain Museum project „MMM Corones “, founded by the famous mountaineer Reinhold Messner.
