Auberge de Temple

Artistic in its own style

Auberge de Temple

Gallery hotel Auberge de Temple is nestled in the undulating landscape of Johannesberg, a quaint village half an hour south-east of Frankfurt am Main. Günther de Temple and Christine Wondrak meticulously restored and refurbished the inn which dates to 1854. Auberge de Temple transcends the ordinary - it’s a feast of flavours, colours, styles and above all quality. In designing the interior, Günther de Temple and Christine Wondrak have ingeniously applied ideas gleaned from their extensive travels. Each stylish and spacious guestroom is named after a famous artist. The result is stunning from the moment you enter. Art is the prevailing theme, with bold contemporary work wherever you look – the hotel even has its own gallery. Helbigs Gasthaus, the restaurant run by Ludger and Nicole Helbig, offers an entire evening’s entertainment packed with huge flavors, from saltcured pork cheeks and sea bass to cherry clafoutis with lavender ice cream and an excellent selection of cheeses.
