Brummen - Kasteel Engelenburg

Guelders

Kasteel Engelenburg offers more than just a bed. On the estate you will find a 9 hole golfcourse, by the famous golfcourse designer Doland Steel. Whiskey nosing and tasting in the English style lounge where Holland’s largest collection of single malt whiskey is housed. Wine tasting on request. The castle once was used as a country seat for the Dutch nobility. The castle’s first owner in the 16th century was Jacob Schimmelpenninck van der Oije, a wine merchant specialising in German wines.

The 41 rooms are tastefully decorated in colonial style, which blends the past and the present. The luxury rooms are situated in the Kaapse Huis, Koetshuis and the Orangerie. The rooms are individually styled with antique and colonial furniture. All rooms have air conditioning, minibar and bowls with fresh fruit. The Koetshuis Suite is very spacious, over 119 square yards, with outside Jacuzzi and private conservatory.
